Friends of Stow, an exclusive hand-picked group of globe-trotters who love STOW has expanded and now features the likes of Suits star Meghan Markle and Bar and Restaurant Manager at Rocco Forte Hotels, Lydia Forte.
Carol Lovell is the Founder and Creative Director of Stow.
Throughout her own travels (two gap years, various adventurous expeditions and later on, work-related business travel) she often designed jewellery rolls and cases in her head. She now designs all of our range.
Four years ago, while seeking beautifully soft and colourful travel accessories for herself and as a gift for others, she realised that no one brand specialised in this area alone. Small accessories generally falling within fashion or along side another primary product base.
Taking a cue from the adventurous personalities that had always inspired Carol’s own travels and career decisions, she set about starting Stow.
Nine months later she launched Stow on a crowd funding platform from her village in North Hertfordshire. Stow very quickly picked up a strong following and now stocks Harrods and Fortnum & Mason in London with plans to sell in similar overseas stores.
Carol enjoys big skies in vast landscapes and cites Tibet, Nepal, New Zealand, Arizona, South Africa, the Outback in Australia and Mexico as favoured destinations for wandering where the wifi is weak. Especially on horseback.
She continues to seek out unusual travel experiences and is spending this summer ranching in Colorado with her family. Next year she plans to travel to Chile and Patagonia.
